Greetings!
Today I come bringing fabulous news... well it's great new to me, because we actually have a second toilet now! We finished the main bathroom! I wouldn't call it a remodel.. just a re-do... we replaced the sink, toilet, and floors, got rid of the wall paper, updated the fixtures, and added beautiful plantation wood blinds...
I would like to share with you our list of expenses...
Plantation Blinds: Lowes- $23.36 (scored 10% off on these baby's with a coupon) down from $25.96
Kohler Wellworth Toilet: Lowes-$133.20 (scored 10% off on these baby's with a coupon) down from $148.00
Misc Plumbing materials... we will estimate about $75 on plumbing, switches, spray paint ect.
Aqua Source Faucet: Lowes- $97.20 (scored 10% off on these baby's with a coupon) down from $108.00
Special Order Anderson Flooring: Lowes: $83.80 Thanks to my dad working at Lowes we got the special order floor at Cost for $1.39 per Square Foot instead of the $2.83 per Square Foot would have been $169.80. total savings of... $86 BIG-ONES!
Paint: $10.00 for both wall and trim color from Valspar at Lowes in the "wrong color" paint bin.
Sink and Vanity: Home Depot- $99.00 Originally we bought it at 169.00 but 2 weeks later we were in the store and it was on clearance for $99.00 so I brought my receipt in and the worker let me "return" and "buy a new one" at $99.00!!!
GRAND total: $521.56

What's in a Name...
ohh Shakespeare how I do love thee... Ok enough of the ye olde English! I am trying to come up with baby names, and it is so difficult. You have to think, this child will be living with a name you created for them, so it better be a name you like. HAHA when you think about it as a soon to be parent, that is a lot of responsibility and it gives the parent A LOT of control. It's not as if the baby could choose it's own name, so for us control freaks out there, it's GREAT!
now, on to the name game process...
From week 5 to week 18 we were set on 2 names Connor Joseph and Madelyn Marie. Yes, I know, for those 4 months we did not even stray from our names.. and then all of a sudden the week we were finding out the sex of the baby, we decided to change the names.. I came up with Colin Patrick and hubs came up with Piper Riley... Ok. so those names were way more original then the first ones.. and now that we know it's a boy... it's EVEN HARDER! haha well I'm sure you all are asking why it's all of a sudden harder.. Colin Patrick is a great name! WELLLLLL, I found out my manager at work named her son that EXACT NAME.. not just colin, but COLLIN PATRICK.. and to make matters worse, he's only 4!!!!! So what that means to me is... it's time to find a new name.
So the real search began... among the list of maybe's were Cullen, Logan, Landon, Ethan, and a bunch of ugly names.. haha However, Patrick and I came up with the name Harrison, we both really liked it, but he was upset at the nick-name "Harry" I told him it reminds me of the prince, but he still wasn't sold. So while visiting my in laws and sharing the name(keep in mind, upon sharing the name Colin, my mother-in-law immediately came up with the name Colin-oscopy) So to my surprise she actually LIKED the name Harrison, stating that she always thought Harrison Ford is so handsome... Patrick still stressed his dislike for Harry, so his mother came up with the nick-name Sonney or Sonny... and i was SOLD! I think that it's such a cute nickname, and very unlike the traditional nickname, that it is now my FRONT RUNNER... I'm sure it will change many more times in the next 4 months but for now.. Harrison Patrick it is!!!!

Major Changes!
Hey there! Long time no see... so there are HUGE changes in the life of Amanda(and Patrick).. We are having a BABY.. and not only is it going to be the cutest baby ever(partial already!) but it's going to be a beautiful baby BOY!!!!! Patrick and I are OVER THE MOON, to welcome our little man!
We have decided to use the already blue room as the nursery as it lets in such great light.. Airplanes and Helicopters are in store for our little one! I found the cutest bedding online, and I am trying to get things on the registry that we may need! What an exciting time.
I am still at the same job, Lame, but I am hoping while I am home with the baby I and fully work on my plan to start my own business and hopefully turn it into a really exciting business that would be fun and rewarding!
I must say, a lot of people hate change.. but i honestly love it. I welcome new opportunities and new events to make myself a better person!!!! I think sometimes it takes some getting used to, but for the most part I WELCOME IT!!!
