In search of one inch ginger root

On my way home from work I decided to stop at the grocery store to pick up some items to make my latest dinner creation... the first stop in my store is the produce section. "Great!" I think to myself.. I have so many things to get on my list... potatoes, garlic, scallions, and according to the recipe "One-inch Ginger root" so because I am new to this whole cooking thing I spend 15 minutes staring at the herbs looking for, what I think is Ginger root(see: bean sprout). Haha yes, so after finishing my other shopping, I find a friendly produce worker to help me find what I am looking for, and he takes me over to the same exact location that I had spent the 15 mins looking for this darn root, and sure enough in front of me the ugliest pile of giant's toes... brown and gross and the little sign says "Ginger" Lesson learned. Ginger root does not equal beansprouts!

The BBQ Chinese chicken lettuce wraps came out tasty.. I have been making adequate substitutions in the recipes and they are turning out to be just amazing!

I forgot..

So I totally forgot I signed up with this blog using a different email address.. so I was very unhappy to find that I someone had stolen my name... well needlesstosay... I had a moment of genius when i thought, maybe it's my other email.. and so we have it.. Back to the Blog-o-sphere!!!!

So I am going to start to write about delish foods I have been cooking.. those of you who know me, know I can not even make instant pudding.. however I think somewhere between buying a house, loving my kitchen, and getting married, I have become quite the chef!!!!!

I used mango salsa instead of fresh tomato salsa and it was to die for!!!!! I hope my readers get inspired... on the menu for tonight is... BBQ chicken lettuce wraps!!!!

Phillies!

So being from DEL-A- Where.. there are no professional sports teams, so most of us delawarians have adopted our love of Philly sports... ya know when I was in cali i would tell people i was from philly, they always seem to know about philly...

wedding fever!

So today is a great day! My best friend Kelly got engaged this past weekend to her fiance Patrick on the beach.

She is truly an amazing friend and her strong opinions to everything define her amazing passion for life. It is amazing to be able to see all-minus one (Liz your day will come soon too!!!) have found the person they want to spend the rest of their lives with... it's really remarkable to have all the weddings and celebrations close together... good thing is our kids will be super close in age too later on down the road!!!!

anyways I can't wait to go dress shopping with her... it's going to be an awesome exeprience she looks great in everything.. I can't wait to see her visions!!!!!!

Today is friday! I am super excited to head to dewey beach for the night to celebrate kelly's birthday. I am so excited for her in many ways... I will write more on that on monday!!! Let's just say the Camera is charged!!!!

I am trying this whole blogging thing out, mostly because i like to hear myself talk.. but really because with limited internet at work.. it seems like it could be fun... I'm going to give my opinions on fashion, food, life, and marriage! haha Less then one month til the big day! Yikes.
